Una iniciativa bastante espectacular. Desde luego a mi me lo parece. Un grupo de emprendedores han sido conscientes de que en el primer mundo hay muchos optometristas por cada mil habitantes, sin embargo en el mundo en desarrollo es evidente que no. Por tanto hay millones de personas que simplemente no ven. Para darle solución han desarrollado unas gafas universales que se pueden ajustar in situ para ajustarlas a cada usuario. Esto es increíble, porque con este simple mecanismo se puede dar cobertura a millones de personas que, de otra manera , sería imposible. Ahora están trabajando en reducir los costes de fabricación y solicitan apoyo para poder llegar a cuantos más zonas mejor. (Vgr http://www.gv2020.org/liberia.htm)
Otra iniciativa más, esta vez muy impresionante, preocupada por los más desfavorecidos.

An initiative quite spectacular. at least, it seems to me. A group of entrepreneurs have been aware that in the first world there are many optometrists per thousand inhabitants, but in the developing world there are clearly not. So there are millions of people who simply do not see. In order to solve this problem thet have developed universal glasses that can be adjusted in situ to suit each user.
